Getting to Know Cambridge Even Better

Naomi and Some of the Kids
(Sorry about the ass shot Naomi =/ )

Today was more camp. We did aerials again today but reorganized the groups so there weren't 12 kids waiting in line for one apparatus. Instead half the group went to do arts and crafts while we split up the remaining kids, giving us about 6 to 7 children each. That was manageable! Whew! The only problem I had today was trying to teach a freaking gazelle on the trapeze. It's so hard to get kids to put their backs against the ropes! I've tried everything! I swear! Grar! I did it with group one then didn't do it with group two. I was so proud of little Amy though! She got up there on the trapeze and got to sitting! (She's the little girl who cried when she did a knee hang). I asked her how she was doing and she said she was scared so we got down.

After class Naomi and I got to play around for a while. She taught me how to do the basics with rope and harness and it was pretty fun! When she was hooked in I went up and hooked my carabiner on. She said she had never done partner stuff like that before so we gave it a whirl! We did figure out some cool moves but I think we both hit our heads and one point, she got rope burn and my skin got pinched in the carabiner. Overall, a painful experience.

Naomi and I on Rope and Harness! Weee!

Oh and before class I got to stretch out my legs which I haven't done in forever! It felt good but I was so stiff and I could feel my "Zina hip" coming back... I'm so ready to train but my body is telling me "you're out of shape! Don't do that!" Bah! The one side of my back that was hurting is fine now but the other side is giving me issues. GRAR! Patience, Chris, patience. I just have to take it easy. Going home for two weeks after camp will be a good amount of time to heal up.

Then we went home and I did emails and what not. I also played WoW because I have not much else to do with my life, for realz. I forget where Naomi had gone, but I went over to Whole Foods and had a nice little dinner by myself at their dining area. These two woman sat in front of me and I took a cool picture of them and my food. I don't know why I like that picture so much but I think it's pretty damn cool =P (See below)

Cool Picture ^_^

After that I decided to take a walk down Route 3 and find the Starbucks. I called and talked to Mark while I walked. While we were catching up Naomi called me and I told her where I was so she decided to join me. It was a beautiful night so I was more than happy to keep walking with her. When she got there we started walking and I wanted to go into this place called "Microcenter." It was this giant electronic store like a Best Buy but it is like a computer super place that has apple stuff as well as other brand names. Kinda crazy!

Boston Across the River

Then Naomi told me that she wanted to take me to this place that was really cool near the river that one of her homeless friends told her about. She told me "not to worry, because she knew the safe word" if there were homeless people there. To say that put me on edge was an understatement. She said that you need to say the word to let them know that you're friendly. So we got to the spot which was a dirt road that went into a grove of trees...a little freaky. Then we made it to a railroad track and a bridge that had a really cool view! There totally could have been homeless people there but there wasn't, thank God. =/ We also walked along the river at a park and had a really good time. It was so nice outside! I got to see the bridge that her and Suzanne performed under a bit ago. We eventually got tired and made our way back to the house. I had an enjoyable "sleep on airbed, deflate airbed, pump up airbed" three times that night! =P
