The Cambridge Experience

Cool Asian Plaza Place

Slept in til 11am today! Wow! Go me! That was very exciting. Naomi was at her camp so I went and got breakfast again at Whole Foods. I got some yummy granola, blueberry, yogurt, blackberry, strawberry goodness. Then we booked it over to the school and got there around 1:30 and set everything up. Today I was teaching manipulation (ie juggling, diabolo, hula hoops) and Naomi taught clowning.

J-Dramas! Muhaha!

The groups were split up differently at our request. There were just too many kids waiting yesterday and wanted to get smaller groups. So we had two groups, one hour each. We then split those groups up and we ended up with around 6 kids each. Great numbers to work with! The first group did really well with everything. A few girls took to the hula hoops and some others really liked scarf juggling. The one Korean boy picked up the diabolo and got it spinning and then did the trick I taught him! It was amazing!

So Awesome!

The second group of kids were more off the wall! It was really hard to get them to concentrate and do what I was telling them. One kid was really good though and was intent on getting the two ball juggling technique. It was awesome. The other kids just bounced around to everything and had a grand ole time =P

Naomi said that her clowning went well too and all the kids loved the clowning more than the juggling stuff. That's understandable though because juggling sucks to learn haha. We weren't as tired afterwards today... probably because I wasn't hoisting all their weight on the trapeze. Tomorrow we do more trapeze and rope and harness! The kids are so excited =P

Cool Mural

After class Naomi and I went downtown to a cool little complex that had all sorts of Japanese stores and restaurants! She got some tofu at this Japanese store to make Pad Thai tonight. It had so much awesome stuff. The whole back wall was full of J-Dramas! Then we walked a bit to a cool bookstore that she used to work at. I looked at their Korean language book they had (they only had one) and learned how to say "good" so I could tell my Korean students that tomorrow =P I wish I knew more but I'm not going to learn the whole language for them. It's hard! haha Then we went to this grocery store where they had cool baskets with wheels on them! So funny! (see picture of Naomi with cart)

Naomi's Cat Goblin!

We got home and made Pad Thai. Naomi showed me a really good way to do it and it was delicious! After eating I started my long descent into blog world. It's taken me quite a few hours but I'm finally up to date for the first time in a while! Wow. I could describe what I'm doing right now even...I just finished watching South Park and I'm about to go to bed. Neato. It's the PRESENT! haha. Ok goodnight.
