Giant Head Sculpture
Woke up feeling great after sleeping on the concrete floor all night. Wasn't able to take a shower so I feel kinda gross. Went down to see my Dad for a while then my sister and I went to get breakfast at the cafe there (not that great but hey, it's food). I kept seeing people coming in with Starbucks so I followed my nose and went searching on the streets. I found one while I was talking on the phone to Mark. *praises* Tried to meet up with Monkey and Trixie for lunch but that didn't work out because they were in Brooklyn. I'll see them soon enough. =)
My Dad got a space in this rehabilitation hospital called Helen Hayes near Nyack where my brother in law lives. It's supposedly the best place around. He was discharged from the hospital at 4pm today which was ahead of schedule. He's doing great from the brain surgery, it's just this stupid stroke thing. He'll be down here about a week or two, depending on his progress, getting massive amounts of rehab (about five hours or so a day).
I got to go to Taco Bell for dinner but it was a really early dinner. I had basically nothing for the rest of the night which sucked. Luckily I'm not doing that much activity. We did go to the Stop and Shop to get some water and Advil for my Mum and boy, it was a ghetto place for sure! I took a picture of some stupid looking princess balloons. It's sad that this is a highlight for my day. I promise I'll be doing something interesting soon =/

Why Did I Take This Picture?
I stayed at this free dorm room at the Helen Hayes place with my Mom. It was very very sketchy and not very nice but it was somewhere to stay. I had to sleep the opposite way on my bed because the air conditioning unit was blowing on my head lol.

Yeah, Let's Put People with Spinal Trauma on Horses... Good One
We turned on the TV and it was stuck on Telemundo because the channel buttons were no longer on the TV and there was no remote. Luckily I found a piece of incense in my bag that I could poke the interior channel buttons with. Woot. The show on Telemundo was some Spanish family making bread and throwing flour at each other while eating bread coming out of the oven. It was very strange. I tried to convince my Mom it could teach us family values but she just wanted to watch the news.
