Brattfest '08 & Happy Birthday Cat!

The Small Fest that is Brattfest 2008

I woke up quite late and had an easy morning. Serenity had asked me yesterday if I could perform at Brattfest 08, some hippie music thing at the New England Youth Theater. I went to leave and it started raining. By the time I got there Serenity and Elsie both thought I shouldn't perform, seeing how my trapeze act relies a lot on the bar not being slippery =P Other than that it was just them performing. I felt bad but they braved the weather and did it anyway so they could promote the school. I thought that was pretty awesome. They had a nice new sign too to put behind the rig that advertised the school.

Andy, Britta and Suzanne at Mocha Joes

I was then going to train with Adam and Carolyn at 3 so I had about 45 minutes to kill so I went to the Co-op. On the way back I ran into Suzanne heading down to Mocha Joes to meet up with Britta for coffee. She invited me to go so I did. Andy and Britta were there so we had a good time just chatting about stuff. I had never actually talked with Andy in this kind of setting so it was really nice to get to know her a bit more. (Side note, I know Andy from working at the Co-op...she was front end though so I never really had a chance to talk with her).

Jon's Shame: In Full Make-Up Eating Chocolate Out of a Pan

I ended up heading home after that because I didn't feel like training. I read my book "Zen in the Art of Archery." It's pretty much an awesome book. It's about this guy's experience learning archery in Japan between the World Wars. I like it because the lessons directly apply to circus and how I can utilize my training as a spiritual device. Pretty sweet, yah?

Lack of Candles = Blowing Out Matches

The night was Cat's Birthday Time! It consisted of Cat, Jon, Britta, Adam, Suzanne, Ed, Amanda, Carolyn, Jesse and myself. We watched Finding Nemo, had some awesome cake and ice cream, then watched The Muppets Take Manhattan. It was a blast hanging out with everyone.

Group Shot! (Don't Mind Me)

Below you will find a video...well actually it's not much of a video but it was recorded more for the music. Adam and I went to Price Chopper around 8pm to get ice cream for Cat's party and they were playing the STRANGEST music ever for a grocery store. The first song we heard was really weird but the song I recorded was out of place as well. I hope you can hear it...
