Depression, Acupuncture and Ice Cream

GIANT Ice Cream cone!

So today I woke up ready to see if I could finish my act with Mark. We got to the studio and tried some things but nothing was working out. I made the difficult decision to not go ahead with our duo trapeze act because it wasn't working well with my body. So after calling Serenity and talking with Elsie I was no longer going to Kentucky...instead I have a week and a half to hang around Brattleboro with nothing to do and heal. =/ I was very frustrated and I felt really bad for Mark because that means that he had come up here for no reason. Luckily he was able to partner with Elsie and they threw something together for the gig. I was so happy because then he could make some money and I didn't feel like a terrible ass (even though I was).

KEEP OUT OF THE BOILER ROOM!

I went to my first acupuncture appointment after 'training'. My journey into acupuncture took me all the way down my road to Watercourse Way. My acupuncturist's name was Tim and he was pretty cool. I went in and told him about my back and my foot so he did some acupressure then put about 9 needles into me ... four on opposite sides of my ankles, two on the outsides of the knees, two on the outsides of my hands and one on the top of my head. I laid there for about 30 minutes and it felt sooo good. The weirdest part for me was when he turned/flicked the needles until they hit "the spot" where the blockage was. It felt like my muscles were being grabbed or a sharp pain going through my body. Afterwards the pain in my foot had lessened but I have to give some time for my back. Overall an interesting experience. I really need a massage though.

I also went after that to the Colonial Pool and Spa with Mark. We were dying to get into the outdoor hot tub but when we got there the tub's jets were not working =( However it was still very hot and very deep so we got in it anyway. It felt sooo good. We had some really nice conversation and spent a long time there.

Elevator Ed

I was pretty bummed the rest of the day. I felt over all very bad.  Luckily Amanda was there to cheer me up. We went out to the Chelsea Royal Diner for ice cream. I got this monstrosity of a sundae in a waffle cone. I didn't eat it all and boy was I glad I didn't!

Elevator Amanda

We went back to their place where I got to experience the creepy creepy basement of their apartment building. The dark picture on this blog that says "Keep Out" on it was taken on their boiler room door...soooo scary! Then I took pictures of Ed and Amanda on the clunky old elevator that freaked me out too. I didn't realize how haunted seeming their building was until I had gone in the basement. Apparently the basement had been an old Model T showroom. Kinda weird. After that I went home and just wanted to sleep the day away.

WTF? When I want to get icecream, you say no, you don't do sugar anymore. Then I see pics and read about you and some amazing icecream. I see how I rank. No eyeshadow for you!
